We lived in a small village where my grandmother and I live. My grandmother raised me since I was a child because both of my parents worked and couldn't spend enough time to care for me. My grandma is a dressmaker, she makes and designs different clothes for me. Every time she makes one, I stay by her side, and grandma will also teach me how to sew. One day, it was my 12th birthday. As we passed by this clothing store, I was stunned by this beautiful jumpsuit worn by the mannequin. I told Grandma to buy me those clothes. Grandma smiled at me, and as she opened her wallet, she looked at me and told me that she would make one for me. I was a bit sad, but I offered Grandma a big smile and said, "Okay, Grandma, I better like your clothes than that in the mannequin." So as we got home, grandma started preparing my favorite spaghetti for my birthday.
It was 6:00 in the evening when my parents arrived and brought me ice cream and cake. It was a beautiful birthday celebration because I got to play with my friends and spend time with my family. Grandma gave me a gift the day after my birthday. She told me to open it when I arrived at my parents' house. Yes, my parents decided to bring me home since they are going to have a baby brother. I am excited and sad at the same time since I will be leaving my grandma. I give my grandma a big hug and tell her that I will be back. We bid each other goodbye and kissed Grandma. The moment I got home, I immediately opened the gift that grandma gave me. It was a lovely jumpsuit, but this one is even more gorgeous than the mannequin and has a matching bracelet with the words "grandmother and granddaughter" engraved on it. I couldn't stop crying. I'm so happy, but I'm already missing my grandmother.
I am in my ninth grade of high school, and I am chosen as a representative for my school in dressmaking. Yes, I took up dressmaking as a hobby, and I joined competitions to showcase the talent that grandma has taught me. During the competition, the only person on my mind was my grandmother, so I made her a dress. Since next week will be my grandmother's birthday, I want to make her a beautiful dress, and I like to make it during my competition. I may win or not, but I will dedicate it to my grandma. I never thought about winning because I was doing it for my grandmother. Who would have thought I won the first prize, and it's because of Grandma.
It was my grandma's 60th birthday, and I am so excited to meet her again. The moment we arrived at Grandma's house, I immediately looked for her and gave her a tight hug and a kiss. "Grandma, I miss you so much!" I said. "Sweetie, I can't breathe." Grandma responded with a laugh. "I miss you too, sweetie, and I am very happy to see you again. I just received the news that you won the dressmaking competition. I'm so proud of you." Grandma replied. "Yes, grandma, and here's my present. I made it during my competition, and that is the very reason why I won. Thank you for guiding me, grandma," I replied and hugged her again. "For you, my sweetie," said grandma. She called my brother, and I hugged her. I can see how Grandma is so happy to see us all on her birthday. I told mom to bring grandma home, and she agreed. Now, grandma is with us, and both of us are making beautiful clothes for our small business.

Growing up with our grandma is an absolute blessing. Not everyone is fortunate enough to grow up with grandparents, but those who do will likely agree that it is one of the best parts of life and creates so many wonderful memories to cherish. Our grandmother acts as our second parent, teaching and advising us on what is best for us. Just like in the story, her grandma taught her how to sew, and she kept those talents until she grew up.
